Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or cooking spray and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the corn meal, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
Add the minced garlic and chopped parsley to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, melted butter, and egg.
Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring continuously until you have a smooth batter.
Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and spread it evenly. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
While the bread is baking, prepare the garlic butter topping. Mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley in a small bowl.
Once the bread is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 5 minutes.
Transfer the bread to a wire rack. Brush the garlic butter topping over the top of the warm bread, allowing it to soak in and add extra flavour.
Let the bread cool completely before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
